I Wayan Erik Wahyudi (Bali)

Erik begun to work with Per when he moved to Bali in 2014, beginning a years-long practice of painting masks, facilitating workshops, and running the business. Native to Bali, Erik has always been a crucial element in the mask procedure since he began to work with Per. Over the years Erik has developed a distinct style of mask painting, bringing another layer of expertise to the great work done by the mask makers.

Lorenz Alexander (NYC)

A performing artist with over a decade of experience, Lorenz Alexander is an actor, author, artist and mask worker. After studying with Per in an ensemble workshop, Lorenz returned to Bali for a residential apprenticeship under Per to be a mask teacher.
Lorenz was the first student under Per to be taught in this apprenticeship format, and now hosts Poleng Mask workshops in New York.

Per Brahe (Bali)

Beginning as a director and theater artist in Denmark, Per sought out the mask makers in Bali during his first trip to the island in 1988. Through decades of collaborative process, Per has created a unique style in his designs and technique.
Teaching all around the world, including New York, Moscow, Denmark, Spain, and more, Per retired to Bali in 2014 and has lived there since.
